Citi just announced a new transfer bonus to Air France-KLM Flying Blue. From now until 11:59 p.m. ET on August 22, Citi ThankYou points transferred to the program get a 20% bonus.

This means 1,000 ThankYou points transfer to 1,200 Flying Blue miles if you have a Citi Strata Elite, Citi Strata Premier, Citi Prestige, or AT&T Access More card. Meanwhile, ThankYou-point-earning cards without an annual fee — which normally transfer 1,000:700 to Flying Blue — get a bump to 1,000:840.

This deal can pair well with [Flying Blue Promo Rewards](https://www.pnm.now/flying-blue-promo-rewards-july-2026/). While most of this month's 45,000-mile New York-to-Europe business class tickets are sold out, keep an eye on next month's Promo Rewards when they go live on the first of the month.

Andrew's Take

It's hard to complain about a transfer bonus. While we've seen bonuses higher than 20% to Flying Blue in the past, this still provides a meaningful discount on award tickets. That said, I don't recommend transferring points until you're ready to redeem them, even with a bonus on the table. Transfers are one-way, and you could be stuck with miles you can't use.
