Bad timing, Wyndham.

Just a week after rolling out a [refreshed credit card lineup](https://www.pnm.now/wyndham-card-changes/), the hotel group announced that it's devaluing Wyndham Rewards effective September 15.

Here's what's changing. The program currently has three redemption tiers: 7,500, 15,000, and 30,000 points per night. Come September 15, there will be four:

- 5,000 points
- 15,000 points
- 30,000 points
- 45,000 points

Wyndham hasn't published a list of which properties are moving up in price. The hotel group has said, however, that it will refund the points difference if a property you book goes down in price.

If you have a top-tier Wyndham property on your list, book it before September 15\. Most award nights are fully refundable, so there's no downside to locking in current pricing now.
