Wyndham Is Doubling United Miles on Points Transfers

Wyndham Rewards is offering double United MileagePlus miles on points transfers right now. To use the promotion, you have to sign in to your Wyndham account and start a transfer; the bonus rate appears at that step.

Wyndham points normally convert to United miles at a 5:1 ratio. With the bonus, 6,000 Wyndham points become 2,400 United miles, which works out to 2.5 points per mile. Transfers are capped at 60,000 points each and 90,000 points total, so the most you can turn into miles is 36,000. Wyndham hasn't posted an end date, and once you start a transfer, you can't reverse it.

You can start the transfer on Wyndham's site.

Andrew's Take

Last time this promotion came around, I used it. Some United miles were better than letting my Wyndham points expire. It's still not a great deal, since you give up a lot of points in the process, but Wyndham points aren't overly exciting, and a mile you can use sure beats a point you lose.
