Bilt announced its 2027 program updates today, covering nearly everything: the cards, hotel bookings, Bilt Cash, and elite perks.

On your next account anniversary, you'll earn up to 1.25x on rent or mortgage, and Flexible Bilt Cash mode, which pays 4% back in Bilt Cash on everyday spend, will go away unless you opt out of the new benefits before then. In other words: If you want to keep earning Bilt Cash on your purchases, stay enrolled.

Hotel redemptions are changing, too. Starting Jan. 1, you can use Bilt Cash on Bilt hotel bookings only twice a year: up to $50 each time for Blue and Silver members, $100 for Gold and Platinum, and $200 for eligible Palladium cardholders. Gold and Platinum members will also be able to pay for Home Away from Home bookings with points sometime in 2027.

But it's not all cutbacks. As of today, Bilt Cash now expires 12 months after you earn it, not at year-end, so $100 earned in February 2026 is good through Feb. 28, 2027. Bilt elites also get SIXT and Hertz status matches next year, and a new Daily Rewards prize program launches Jan. 15.

I don't like this one. I use the Bilt Cash I earn with my Palladium card for Lyft rides, Walgreens credit, and other perks every month. Losing that 4% back makes the cards a lot less interesting. You can hold on to it by opting out in your card settings before your anniversary, but you'll miss the rest of the card changes and can't switch earning modes later. The longer Bilt Cash expiration is nice, but it doesn't make up for this.
