Bilt is lowering its World of Hyatt transfer ratio from 1:1 to 4:3, effective January 1, 2027. That means 1,000 Bilt Points will become 750 Hyatt points, and a 60,000-point Hyatt stay will cost 80,000 Bilt points instead of 60,000.

Unlike Chase, Bilt isn't offering a way around the cut. The new ratio applies to every Bilt member, including holders of the $495-per-year Palladium Card. Chase's 4:3 ratio for Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred cardholders went live this week, while its Sapphire Reserve cards still transfer at 1:1.

This is a disappointing change. Bilt's 1:1 Hyatt ratio was a real selling point after Chase reduced its transfer ratio for Sapphire Preferred cardholders. If you have a Hyatt stay planned and Bilt Points to spend, transfer them before December 31.
