Chase Sapphire Lounges Are Dropping Priority Pass on August 15

Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club locations will leave the Priority Pass and LoungeKey networks on August 15. This means non-Chase Priority Pass cardholders no longer receive a free visit every year and will no longer be able to buy a $75 lounge pass.

Nothing changes for eligible cardmembers. Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business, Ritz-Carlton and J.P. Morgan Reserve cardholders keep unlimited complimentary access with up to two guests. Additional guests are $27 each, and kids 2 and under are free. Access still opens three hours before departure.

The one upgrade is for connections. Cardmembers on connecting itineraries can now enter within five hours of the onward flight rather than three, which matches American Express.

Separately, Chase is ending reservations at the Phoenix lounge — August 24 is the last day to book one and August 31 is the last day they're honored.

Non-Chase Priority Pass members got one Chase lounge per year — losing it is a shrug. The five-hour connection window is the more useful change here; long layovers at Philadelphia or JFK just got more comfortable, and that's a benefit you'll use more than once a year.
