Chase Sapphire Reserve cardholders can once again register for a Marriott Bonvoy Gold status fast track. The promotion — which has run in similar form in past years — went live July 1 and works like this:

  • Register between July 1 and September 30, 2026, through the benefits tab in your Chase account.
  • You'll receive Marriott Bonvoy Gold status for three months upon registration.
  • Stay three paid nights booked directly with Marriott during that three-month window, and your Gold status extends through February 2028.

Gold is Marriott's mid-tier status and offers a 25% bonus points on stays, 2 p.m. late checkout, and space-available room upgrades. Note that it doesn't include free breakfast or club lounge access — those perks start at Platinum Elite.

If you hold The Platinum Card from American Express, this promotion is redundant. That card offers Bonvoy Gold status for as long as you're a cardholder, with no stay requirement. Gold status is also a benefit of select Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit cards.

Marriott Gold isn't the most exciting status tier. Upgrades are rare, and other benefits are sparse. That said, free is free. If you have a few Marriott stays booked between now and fall anyway (and don't already have Marriott status), registering takes two minutes and locks in late checkout through early 2028.
