Emirates Will Give You a Mile for Every Minute You Spend in Dubai
· 1 min read
Here's a new one. Emirates Skywards is paying one bonus mile for every minute you spend in Dubai, up to 7,200 miles. You'll hit that cap after exactly five days on the ground, and staying longer won't earn you anything extra.
You'll need to register for the offer first and book a round-trip ticket between Oct. 21 and Nov. 5, for travel by Dec. 13. Emirates or flydubai must issue it and operate the flights, but travel agent bookings work, too.
Further, your trip must start outside the UAE and include a stay in Dubai of 24 hours to 30 days. Dubai can be your destination or a long stopover on the way somewhere else. Emirates counts the length of your stay from your ticketed itinerary. Award tickets don’t count for this promotion, and only certain fare types qualify.
UAE residents (per their Skywards profile) are excluded. You'll earn the bonus once, for your first eligible visit, and it'll post within 30 days after you leave.
Up to 7,200 miles for a Dubai stay is a nice extra, but it's not a reason to plan a trip. If you're already connecting through Dubai on a paid ticket, a stopover of a day or more now earns a few thousand bonus miles. Just note that the UAE is near a current conflict zone, so your plans could change.
