Avios Adds Calendar View to Award Flight Search

Yesterday, it got easier to hunt for award seats on Aer Lingus, British Airways, or Iberia. Avios.com now has a monthly calendar view, showing nonstop award availability across an entire month instead of forcing you to check availability a day at a time.

Right now, it covers the three aforementioned airlines and you can filter by cabin. The catch is that it only shows nonstop flights, so connecting itineraries still need the old day-by-day search.

Note that this calendar search view is available on Avios.com, not on the airlines' websites. You can use your Aer Lingus, British Airways, or Iberia account to log in to Avios.com.

I'll take any airline making its own site easier to search — it means fewer dead-end searches before finding a seat that works. That said, this new feature only searches nonstop flights across three airlines, so it's no replacement for PointsYeah, Seats.Aero, or other third-party award search tools.
