Bask Bank Is Offering 20,000 Bonus AAdvantage Miles To New Members
· 1 min read
Bask Bank is back with a 20,000-mile bonus on its Mileage Savings Account. To earn it, you'll need to:
- Be a first-time Bask Mileage Savings customer
- Open your account by November 30, 2026
- Fund it within 15 business days of opening
- Hold a $50,000 minimum daily balance for 90 consecutive days within the first 120 days of account opening
One thing to watch: cash moved from an existing Bask or Texas Capital Bank account won't count as a new deposit.
The account pays miles instead of interest — 1.75 AAdvantage miles per dollar saved annually, accrued daily and awarded monthly. Bask values the miles at 0.42 cents each for tax purposes, which works out to a taxable APY of 0.735%. The miles take six to eight weeks to post to your AAdvantage account.
Unfortunately, miles earned through Bask don't count as Loyalty Points. If you'd rather have cash, Bask's Interest Savings Account pays 3.75% APY.
Hold $50,000 in the account for a minimum of 90 days, and you earn about 41,600 miles, counting the 20,000 bonus and roughly 21,600 from the base rate. You give up about $460 in interest to get there, so you're effectively buying AAdvantage miles at just over a penny each. If you have $50,000 lying around and value AAdvantage miles highly, this could be worth considering.
