Delta Announces Austin's First Nonstop Flight to Paris

Starting March 27, 2027, Delta will fly daily, summer-season nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom (AUS) and Paris-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) on an Airbus A330-900neo. British Airways, KLM, and Lufthansa already fly nonstop from Austin to Europe, but Delta is the first U.S. airline to do it — and the first to offer Austin a nonstop to the French capital.

Through the Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic joint venture, this route will connect passengers to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India, and Africa. During peak summer months, the partners will have 10 nonstop weekly flights between Austin and Europe, including the existing Amsterdam route.

Delta is backing the Paris route with a broader Austin buildout: a new nonstop San Diego service, year-round Cancun service, a second daily San Jose frequency, and, by summer 2027, roughly 30 destinations and 70+ peak-day departures from the city, plus a planned second Sky Club and 15 gates in the future Concourse A.

This is Delta planting a flag — Austin's growth has made it a real prize for the legacy carrier's route network. I wouldn't expect Delta One award space to be plentiful here, especially early on, but if you're based in Central Texas, it's worth watching SkyMiles and Flying Blue as the date gets closer.
