A Delta One Lounge Is Finally Coming To Atlanta — But You'll Have To Wait

After much anticipation, Delta is bringing its top-tier Delta One Lounge to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL). This is the airline's largest hub and one of the busiest airports on the planet.

The lounge will sit in Concourse E, one of Atlanta's two international terminals, spanning about 39,000 square feet. Like every Delta One Lounge, it'll be a big step up from a standard Sky Club, with chef-curated dining, premium bars, and shower suites.

While Delta officials have confirmed an Atlanta Delta One Lounge in the past, these details come from a City of Atlanta council document, not a press release.

This adds to the four Delta One Lounges already open at New York (JFK), Boston (BOS), Los Angeles (LAX), and Seattle (SEA). But the opening day is still a long way off.

Construction hasn't started yet, and Delta expects the build to take around 30 months — which pushes the opening to 2029. It's a brand-new space rather than a converted Sky Club, so there's no shortcut to opening day.

As a reminder, these lounges are premium-cabin only. You can get in if you're flying Delta One that day, or in business or first on a handful of partners — Air France, KLM, Korean Air, Virgin Atlantic, and LATAM among them. A Sky Club membership, an Amex Platinum, or a Delta co-brand card won't get you in.

As a Delta frequent flyer and Delta One Lounge enthusiast, I'm excited for this lounge. But 2029 is a long way off, and "construction hasn't started" loves delays. Regardless, this is an important addition to the Delta One Lounge portfolio given Atlanta is Delta's hometown and largest hub.
